IVW Student Competition

Congenial Composite Carrier

Are you a student in Kaiserslautern, inventive and do you like to put new solutions into practice yourself? Then the Leibniz-Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe invites you to a competition!
With comparatively simple materials that you receive free of charge from IVW, your ideas and your skills, you can construct and produce a prototype of a small means of transport that is designed to bring a raw egg safely to its destination in a manageable amount of time.

Participants and Team Size

All students enrolled at RPTU or Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences can take part, doctoral students are excluded. Teams must consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of three students. A maximum of 10 teams will be admitted to the competition. The order of the incoming registrations counts.

Registration

Registration is only possible online via our registration form until 31 January 2024.
All accepted teams will receive a confirmation by email. By registering, you agree to the terms and conditions of the competition and the subsequent publication of your solution on the ivw website and in other media.

Evaluation and Award Ceremony on the Competition Day

The competition will take place on 11 July 2024 at 11:00 h behind Building 58 in the presence of all teams and the jury. The winners will be honored in the afternoon of the same day at the IVW summer fest. In the event of severe weather, the competition day will be postponed at short notice.
