Development of joining technologies at IVW

At the institute a new project could be started on 01.12.2021. Together with the partners MiniTec GmbH & Co.KG, Himmelwerk, Hoch- und Mittelfrequenzanlagen GmbH and Kömmerling Chemische Fabrik GmbH, the "Automated Hybrid Welding of Metallic Fasteners to Fiber-Plastic Composite Components" is developed to realize a weight-neutral, material- and light-weight connection for multi-material constructions.
The project is funded under the Central Innovation Program for SMEs (Zentrales Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand ZIM) on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag.
