Vita Robert Lahr

Dr.-Ing. Robert Lahr, born in 1973, studied Industrial Engineering and Management, specializing in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern where he graduated in 2001.

From 2001 until 2006 he was employed as scientific assistant at the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe in the field of manufacturing science, and changed directly to the IVW staff department Project Coordination / Technology Transfer Team.

In July 2007 he gained his doctorate in the field of thermoforming of fiber-plastic-composites.

Since January 2010 he is the manager of the Central Services and since January 2011 he is also in charge of the Technology Transfer Team.

In February 2011, he completed further training at the Center for Science Management in Speyer to become a certified science manager.

For many years he has been a lecturer at seminars on thermoplastic fiber composites in the Composites United e.V. training program and at the mtec Academy.
