Girls'Day 2024

We invite female students to take an exciting look behind the scenes of materials research on Girls' Day. On April 25, 2024, female students will have the unique opportunity to discover the diverse facets of materials technology together with an experienced materials researcher and be inspired by her fascinating work.

Materials research plays a crucial role in solving central questions of the future, including climate and environmental protection, sustainable energy supply and combating widespread diseases. New materials enable more energy-efficient cars, more stable bridges and more effective medicines. However, women are still underrepresented in this area. Girls' Day offers schoolgirls the opportunity to develop interest in future-oriented technical topics at an early stage and to become enthusiastic about a career in materials technology.
