Successful Start of the Citizen Science Project BewegungsForscher

News25

On June 20, 2024, the kick-off event for the Citizen Science project BewegungsForscher took place. The event brought together users of medical aids, relatives, caregivers, interested citizens, and researchers, offering valuable discussions and insights that will shape the future work of the BewegungsForscher.

Dr. Janna Krummenacker, scientific project leader from IVW, initially provided participants with insights into innovative composite materials. In joint sessions, challenges of everyday medical aids were then discussed, and the research topic that BewegungsForscher will continue to work on was determined. The participants contributed their own experiences and perspectives.

The main topic, smart orthoses, emerged: The insights gained will now shape and further develop the future workshops. The next workshop, which will take place on September 10, 2024, will therefore focus on "smart orthoses".

We look forward to the upcoming workshops and further collaboration. Many thanks to all participants of the kick-off event!

The "BewegungsForscher" project is part of the Open Digitization Alliance Palatinate (ODPfalz) and is designed for and with citizens, to develop everyday medical aids together with researchers.
