Scientific Writing and Publishing in English Workshop for Our Junior Researchers

At Leibniz-Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe (IVW), we provide our junior researchers with opportunities to grow both professionally and academically. One such opportunity is the Scientific Writing and Publishing in English Workshop, offered exclusively to our junior researchers to help them excel in publishing their work in international journals.

Led byProf. Dr. Shanley Allen from University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, this two-day workshop is designed to equip our junior researchers with the essential skills to craft high-quality, publishable journal articles. Participants learn:

• Crafting a compelling narrative: Present complex research findings in a clear, engaging way that captures the attention of journal reviewers and readers.
• Ensuring logical flow: Structure articles for maximum impact, with seamless transitions and well-organized ideas.
• Writing with precision and clarity: Communicate effectively by eliminating unnecessary jargon and improving sentence-level clarity.

The workshop also provides guidance on effective writing habits to support productivity and overcome common writing challenges.
