Open Innovation Test Bed for nano-enabled bio-based PUR Foams and Composites

News1News25

Starting in 2021, BIOMAT project is aiming to establish an Open Innovation Test Bed (BIOMAT-TB) with a Single-Entry Point (SEP). The objective is to accelerate a sustainable European bioeconomy by developing nanoenabled

and advanced PUR foams for Building, Construction, Automotive, Furniture & Bedding industries. Together with 26 complementary and interdisciplinary partners IVW especially aims to develop and validate nano-enabled bio-based resins and foam formulations for rigid and semi-rigid systems, and to scale them up from the laboratory to the pilot scale. Key feature of the pilot line involves inline monitoring of quality and functional parameters.

This project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 953270.
