NewPreg - Development of a semi-finished product and preform concept for out-of-autoclave processing of bio-solid resins into prepregs and components

Together with INVENT GmbH and the University of Bayreuth, IVW has launched a new project to make a significant contribution to environmentally friendly aviation. In this project, petroleum-based liquid resin systems are being replaced by solid resins with a high bio-content, which greatly reduces CO2 emissions.

The work is being funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag (funding reference 20Q2227B).
