The Economic Importance of Lightweight Construction in Germany

Lightweight construction is a key technology for sustainable and efficient industrial processes. A recent study commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) shows that lightweight construction secures around 1.3 million jobs in Germany and contributes approximately 120 billion euros to the country's economic output. By reducing material usage and lowering CO₂ emissions, lightweight construction strengthens sustainability while improving product functionality.
