Honor for Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jan-Kristian Krüger

Our guest researcher, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jan-Kristian Krüger, was recently appointed Knight of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg by H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg. The ceremonial award took place on June 21 and was conducted by the Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin.

Prof. Krüger was honored for his outstanding contributions to research and innovation. From 2006 to 2014, he served as a guest professor at the University of Luxembourg, significantly enriching the academic and scientific community. He supervised doctoral students and developed important patents. Additionally, he was a founding member of the integrated study program "Saar-Lor-Lux." Currently, Prof. Krüger is a guest professor at the Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials (IVW) in Kaiserslautern.
