H2Flex - Process and plant development for novel hydrogen tanks

A process and plant development for the production of novel lightweight hydrogen tanks using carbon fibers and a bio-based resin system started at IVW on August 1, 2023. Automation Steeg und Hoffmeyer GmbH, Schill+Seilacher GmbH, Karl Wolf Präzision³ e.K. and the institute are cooperating for the realization of the project. The IVW is responsible for the development of the construction method and the process. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection based on a resolution of the German Bundestag (funding reference 03LB3100A).
