News25

After 23 years of dedicated service, we bid farewell to Dr.-Ing. Robert Lahr, whose remarkable contributions have left a lasting impact on Leibniz-IVW. Robert played a pivotal role in projects like the Spriform process and the development of Samsonite suitcases. He later took on the leadership of the Knowledge & Technology Transfer (KTT) department, where he continued to drive innovation.

Robert’s commitment to team spirit and community was evident in many ways, such as his efforts to bring colleagues together to run as a team, and his ever-present humor.

He was also known for his innovative problem-solving, particularly during a major IT security incident, and for fostering a collaborative environment that brought people together.

Robert’s ability to unite teams, whether in professional settings or through his love for marathon running, has truly set him apart. We will miss you both as a colleague and as a friend. As you embark on a new journey at Leica Camera AG, we extend our deepest gratitude and best wishes.
