Unsolicited Application as Research Assistant (m/f/d) in Full or Part Time

Your tasks:
In our closely linked program areas Materials Science, Component Development and Manufacturing Science, we research new technologies for the use of composite materials as a contribution to solving the major challenges of our time: energy, climate, environment, mobility, health and production technologies of the future (such as generative processes, 3D printing).

Projects at IVW are carried out on an interdisciplinary basis and together with partners from research and industry. Therefore, you will get to know interesting networks and people from internationally leading companies in the automotive and aviation industries, mechanical engineering and other sectors. You will find a dedicated team of scientific and particularly experienced technical staff and can complement us in an important position. Your personal scientific focus will be on experimental, theoretical or simulative scientific work. To do so, you will also draw on our excellent research infrastructure, use your creativity to expand the state of the art in basic research and have the opportunity to do a doctorate.

Your profile:

  • Interest in polymer composites, lightweight construction and related topics
  • High motivation, initiative and ability to work in a team
  • Independent working method
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Technical/scientific university degree with an above-average level of achievement
