Vita Nicole Motsch-Eichmann

Dr.-Ing. Nicole Motsch-Eichmann was born 1969 in Neunkirchen/Saar.  After completing her apprenticeship as a draftsman she has studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the RWTH Aachen and completed her diploma in 1998.

After completing her diploma thesis, she worked as a research associate at the chair of “Computer Methods in Civil Engineering” at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and completed her doctorate there.

From 2005 to 2009 she worked as a Stress Engineer at Airbus in Hamburg, where she was the group leader responsible for finite element models and analyzes of the vertical tail plane in the A400M program. In addition, she has been involved in the development and calculation of FRP-connection profiles.

Since 2009 she is a member of the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH in the department "Component Development" and since July 2015 manager of the competence field "Design of Composite Structures".

Dr. Motsch-Eichmann is married and has 2 daughters.

  • Reviewer of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF in the research call "Hybrid Materials - New Opportunities, New Market Potential" (since 2019)
  • Managing Director of the regional division CC West, Carbon Composite e.V. (2016-2019)
