In 2012 the IVW GmbH employed on average 99 individuals as permanent staff. They were supported by 43 student and research assistants.
Activities of guest scientists, scholarship holders, students working on their undergraduate theses, guest students, and trainees contributed to the research and development work of the institute.
The number of 313 individuals of 25 nations, who worked throughout the year at the IVW, reflects the internationality of the institute. The proportion of scientists from abroad was approx. 25 %.
In the scientific area the proportion of women amounted to 24%, in total 29%.
Six PhD students successfully completed their doctorate at the institute.
