Compression Molding

In this field of competence we develop new materials and technologies for organic sheets, discontinuously and continuously reinforced (GF, CF, NF), with different modified and unmodified thermoplasts based on SMC, LFT and GMT.

Another focus in this field is the development and processing of special methods for natural fiber reinforced composites using conventional or bio-based polymers.

Also impregnation techniques for component manufacturing, innovative forming technologies (match-metal molding, silicone stamp forming, tailored blanks) and approaches for more efficient processes are being developed.

A particular technology for the processing of thermoplastic FRPC with a sealing edge tool with internal inductors ( RocTool: Cage System) is available. Inductivly heated tools enable very high heating (up to 150 K / min) and cooling rates.

In all areas, new process technologies with innovative tool concepts and process combinations are developed and implemented.
